By far the best resource you can find for photography shows and openings is the Photograph magazine. This is a bi-monthly magazine devoted solely to art galleries but specifically focuses on photography exhibitions. Each issue features listings of all the galleries with photography material scheduled to be on view in the coming weeks and has a handy map of each neighborhood with the galleries number plotted so you can plan your route for your gallery go. Very thoughtful!
